A quick lunchtime photoshop chop once again. A friend complained that I hardly ever photoshop Audis. Well, there’s a reason for that, but I made an exception and went creative on a classic Audi 100 C1. Found this tracking shot of a USDM model and modified it. Obviously the car was lowered and the steelies have a larger diameter now, albeit still featuring a thin white-wall line so typical for this period and location. The rear fender has been relocated because I didn’t want the wheel to disappear into the fender. Quick & dirty? No. Quick and clean style just for fun.

The Ferrari 330 GT 2+2 Interim is a super rare car and nobody in his right mind would modify this Pininfarina styled beauty. Mind you – I wouldn’t do this to a real vehicle either, but pixels never complain.

International Lonestar Harley-Davidson Special Edition | Showtruck

It’s been a long time since I last modified a truck with photoshop. Having a Moebius 1/25 scale model kit of the International Lonestar truck, I wondered how it might look without the tall sleeper cab before starting to build the kit. Starting up the graphics software and modifying the roof was easy enough… but once again my mind accelerated on it’s own and not too long after, the 2009 Harley-Davidson Special Edition was lowered, had bigger diameter wheels with low profile tires and many small improvements were done. Imagine a color-matched flatbed trailer behind it. Would be an awesome rig to haul freight with and display it at truck shows, wouldn’t it?

“Every great inspiration is but an experiment – though every experiment we know, is not a great inspiration.” Charles Ives

Inspiration comes from many sources. When it comes to cars, a friend of mine often unwittingly provides inspiration for photoshop chops. He had been looking at a car with the possible intent of buying it and sent a set of pictures to our Facebook group. None of us recognized the vehicle even after he told us what it was, but everybody came up with the same joke in return: Plymouth Reliant? Oh wait… wasn’t there a funny tricycle called Reliant Robin that kept rolling over in one of the TopGear episodes a few years ago? We had a good laugh and forgot about the malaise era car immediately afterwards. See it, turn around and the next second the memory is blank again. Not really what you would call an enthusiast car, right? Yes… but hey, I can’t help it: the pictures of the pale yellow car and the Reliant Robin jokes sparked an idea…
